Started in 2021, Izidio Records is a recording studio destined to spread and record Brazilian classical music.
Focused on works by composers that are rarely recorded, Izidio Records was created to give voice to the great musical collection devalued by social inequalities and to rescue the indigenous and black cultural legacy in Brazilian classical music.
Starting by the standard viola repertory, the new-born company's collection also carries out research and rescue work on pieces forgotten by prejudice, such as the Rebbeca Clarke sonata.
Composed for the composition competition sponsored by Clarke’s neighbor , Elizabeth Zoreaque Coolidge, this recording is a tribute to Clarke’s resistance to publish her work.
As a result of the patriarchy, after having the best scores of all the judges, she had her identity questioned with the theory that her name was a pen-name for a male composer, and loses the competition.
To developed Izidio Records, Palloma does a Music Production Specialization at Berklee Online Campus, where she is learning the newest music technologies and tools to compose contemporary music in the digital age.
Using MPC Beats, Ableton and other famous software at the market, the Izidio Records is a home-studio equipped with the finest equipment, such Rode M3 microphones and MPK Mini as MIDI controller.
