The Brazilian violist Palloma Izidio, combines a unique and profound sound with great sense of style to create an artistic performance that goes beyond the viola.
A passionated artist and student, currently a Master student of Marc Sabbah, she started her music studies during her childhood at the Projeto Música nas Escolas BR, and followed her studies at Baccarelli Institute BR and Royal Conservatory of Mons BE.
Member of symphonic orchestras since her early formation, Palloma played at Barra Mansa Symphony Orchestra, with whom she toured with the Ballet of Theatre Mariinsky, Alla Sacala Ballet in Milan, the Bolshoi Ballet, Apo Hsu and Alistair Wilis.
As Principal Viola she played at Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Heliópolis Symphony Orchestra under Isaac Karabthevscky, Marin Alsop and Carlos Prazeres.
She has participated in many festivals including Oficina de Música de Curitiba, Virtuosi, I Encontro Campestre de Violas in Piracicaba, FIMUCA and Zemtsov Masterclasses Festival, where she collaborated with the pianist Sofi Vasheruk.
She also had the opportunity to learn all around the world from musicians such as Bruno Giurana, Michael Kugel, Mikhail Zemtsov, Quartuor Ébéne, Dana Zemtsov, Marc Sabbah, Ruth Killius, Nicole Wilson, Rafael Altino, Renato Bandel, Anna Serova, Alexandre Razera, Diemerson Sena, all known for their virtuosity and great musical careers.
Palloma also shows her passion to music trough learning the newest music technologies to compose contemporary digital music in the digital age. Focused on recording works by composers that are rarely recorded, Palloma Izidio is developing a work that plans on give voice to the great musical collection devalued by social inequalities and to rescue the indigenous and black cultural legacy in Brazilian classical music.
